HeroCare Connect Hosts Booth at Local Veteran's Suicide Awareness Resource Fair

HeroCare Connect™ team members helped raise awareness of the issues surrounding veteran suicide and mental health during an event with the Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center and the Camden County Board of Commissioners who organized the event.

Angel Wiesniewski, a HeroCare Connect Patient Service Specialist, was among the group of other providers and service resource tables at the Veterans Suicide awareness Resource Fair and panel Discussion, hospital by the Blackwood Campus of Camden County College. The daylong event featured conversations about surviving suicide, lethal arms storage and safety, and the importance of #988, the new Suicide and Crisis Lifeline that launched in July, 2022. New Jersey is among 25 states wherelegislation to implement and fund 988 has been enacted.
