On Saturday, April 18th, the HeroCare Connect team was proud to be on the ground at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in Fort Dix, NJ for the Annual Joint Retiree Appreciation Day (JRAD) — a full morning dedicated to the men and women who gave years of their lives in service to this nation.

Running from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Timmermann Center, the event brought together military retirees from all branches — Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Space Force, and Coast Guard — for a morning packed with valuable resources and connection. Attendees had the opportunity to speak with vendors, get updates on VA benefits and Tricare, and even renew their military ID cards on-site.

It was exactly the kind of event that reminds us why HeroCare Connect exists. Being in the same room as veterans who dedicated decades to protecting our freedoms — and being able to connect them with the support and resources they deserve — is a privilege we don’t take lightly.

And yes, lunch was on the house, courtesy of the Combined Veterans Club. A small gesture, but a meaningful one.
